Race Category:

29 Oct 2016 Team time trial (1 lap 10km, total 3 laps 30km)

30 Oct 2016 Road race team and individual (160km)

• Men’s Elite Category (Road race team, individual. Sprinter, KOM)
• Men’s Open Category (individual 52km)
• Women’s (Individual 52km)

 

Application:

• Submit as a team for up to 5 individuals or as individual. Admit up to 35 teams for Men’s Elite Category, 26 teams for Team Time Trial, 200 individuals for Open Category. International teams have priority. Men’s Elite participant of previous race have priority.
• Road bicycle, wheel diameter including tires not smaller than 55cm and not larger than 70cm.
• Team participants should have unified bicycles and equipment. Helmets, number tags, bike plates must be applied or be denied participation.
• Application closes 26 Sep 2016 17:00hrs or when application numbers are met. Name list once finalised will not allow any changes.

Race Rules:

• Rules and regulations are governed by China Cycling Association.
• During the race, it rules are broken, judging committee  has the rights to punish base on the latest ruling.
• For riding safety, judging committee has the right to reduce the distance or cancel the race under severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
• Sprint point 1 Fengshuling Town 52km point, Sprint point 2 Langchuan Village 82km point (First 10 positions will receive 15,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 points for both sprint points, highest total points will win. In event of similar points, winner will be based on the points from the second sprint point.)
• First to reach the top of Zitong Town will be winner of KOM.
• Not knowing race rules cannot be used as an excuse in any event.

 

Flag off:

• All participants are to be geared up with helmet, jersey number tags and bicycle number tags 30 minutes before race starts and check in. Inspection will stop 10 minutes before race starts. All participants to standby and listen to instructions by judges 5 mins before start.

 

Results and Positions:

• Individual Road Race

Position based on sequence of reaching the finish line.

Fastest sprinter based on the total points from 2 sprint point.   (Completion of race not necessary)

KOM base on first to reach top of Zitong Town (Completion of race not necessary)

• Team Road Race

Position will be based on the timing of the first 4 team members to reach the finish line.

• Team Time Trial

Each team comprise of 5 members, timing is based on the 3rd member crossing the finish line. Teams with under 5 members are not allowed to participate.

 

Close off timing:

• If participants drop out from race leader by 10%, or evidently lacking, chief judge has the rights to eliminate them.

All winners are required to receive their prizes on stage, verify their id and accept media interview and supervision.

 

Registration Fees

RMB 300 per person, Race Committee will provide 2 days of accommodation for 28 & 29 Oct. Insurance will be covered for each participant, details will be according to the insurance contract.

Participants in Elite Men’s Individual and Women’s category who have won top 3 in previous years races or participated in 8 years of more of current race will gain free entry.
